Introduction
In providing TNR services to community cats, sometimes ACR traps cats who need more medical assistance than just sterilization and vaccinations; and this is the case with a recently rescued group of kittens from College Park, Maryland. This family of Siamese-mix kittens have been spayed or neutered and provided vaccinations and tested negative. They are being fostered by the Maggie, an ACR employee. Each kitten has an eye condition that is most likely the result of genetics and poor nutrition in the early stages of life. Each kitten has a varying degree of the condition, Woodstock & Rerun not requiring further medical treatment. However, Charlie, Snoopy & Linus will need surgery. In following the No-Kill policy, ACR only euthanizes a cat if absolutely necessary, and in this case, these kittens will live happy, comfortable lives. Despite the financial strain to treat these kittens, their surgeries are scheduled for October. If you wish to help ACR provide surgery, please consider making a donation.
